Kindergarten - Young 5's | Murton, Shannon

I have been teaching Young 5s in the Winnie the Pooh Room for the last 22 years.  Shannon believes in empowering students as problem-solvers, inclusive learning and nature-based play.
As the Outdoor Classroom Coordinator at Wilkshire, she works to provide an additional place for this type of learning to occur. Shannon serves in the role of DEI coach and is second vice president of the teacher’s union.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her granddaughter, Murphy. She enjoys writing and reading poetry, time spent at Torch Lake and conversations that encourage introspection, growth and connection.
