Applying for the Young 5's Program

Young 5’s is a full day kindergarten program. Students with a birthdate between September 1 - December 1 are considered for the program. A total of 30 students are selected. Haslett residents are given first consideration. 

To apply for the program: 

  1. Complete New Student Online Enrollment and fill out the Wilkshire Student Questionnaire form. Check the box indicating you are interested in the Young 5’s Kindergarten program.

  2. Attend an in-person round up session to help the staff determine if your child is eligible to be selected for the Young 5’s Kindergarten program. 

  3. You will be contacted if/when your child is selected for Young 5’s Kindergarten.

  4. A waitlist is available .
